Question 793: On what day is a Survivor Benefit paid each month?
Answer: All monthly Railroad Retirement benefits are paid on the first business day of the month, meaning the first day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or a Federal holiday.
If benefits are paid by direct deposit, the financial institution may deposit payments before the first business day of the month.
