Getting An Estimate Online
(Posted June 19, 2011)
Question 824: Is there an easy way to estimate monthly benefits myself rather than contacting the RRB? I will have 30 years of service in and am now age 60. My statement shows a huge compensation dollar amount, but I realize I will never get close to getting that much. I am trying to decide whether to retire now or work another 5 years so I will have health insurance fully covered.
Answer: You can now get an annuity estimate online using the Railroad Retirement Board's Web Site at: www.rrb.gov
The first time you go online, you can enroll to use the online functions of the Web Site. once you have an ID and password, you can request an estimate.
