How Former Spouse Can Receive Her Share of Former Husband's Railroad Retirement Granted By Divorce Decree

Question 853: I have not remarried. According to my divorce decree, I'm entitled to a share of my former husband's pension when he's 65. He just turned 65. I need to find an attorney who can help me collect my benefit.
Answer: Your don't need an attorney to start receiving your share of your former husband's Tier 2 benefit. You should call the Railroad Retirement Board at (877) 772-5772.
