In addition, among plans with a primary third-party advisor, the current advisor has been in place an average of 6.6 years. Tenure is higher for smaller plans, higher average account balance plans, and among plans relying on Third Party Administrators (TPAs), benefits consultants and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).
