"[O[nly weeks after its new Earned Sick Leave Law (ESLL) took effect, Westchester County, NY enacted the Safe Leave Time Law (SLTL). Effective approximately October 30, 2019, the SLTL requires employers to provide all eligible employees with 40 hours of paid leave that can be used for certain reasons relating to domestic violence or human trafficking. The SLTL's 40 hours of paid leave will be in addition to any sick leave provided by the ESLL."
