as having lung cancer.  Happily, Bill is in good hands with
the oncology department of Johns Hopkins.

Bill is the author of Lieber on Pensions, and recently
retired after a career with the government that included
important roles in the development of ERISA and the tax
code governing employee benefit plans.  He continues to
have a busy practice as a self-employed consultant, and
is an active speaker on the continuing education circuit.
