Chard Snyder to Observe National HSA Awareness Day on October 15

Issued by Ascensus

Oct. 15, 2020

National HSA Awareness Day Highlights Importance of Building Financial Preparedness for Unexpected Healthcare Costs

Mason, OH -- October 14, 2020 -- Chard Snyder, a national third-party administrator of employee benefit solutions and wholly owned subsidiary of Ascensus, in celebration of National HSA Awareness Day, reminds consumers that it is committed to helping Americans build financial preparedness for unexpected healthcare costs through its comprehensive health savings account (HSA) solution.

National HSA Awareness Day, which will take place each year on October 15, is dedicated to bringing the public and the healthcare benefits industry together to discuss the power of HSAs and their ability to impact some of the most prevalent issues Americans face today, such as managing health-related out-of-pocket expenses, preparing for unexpected healthcare costs, and planning for retirement.

Recent research from WEX Health, a leading financial technology service provider, shows that millions of consumers are still in the dark on the benefits of an HSA and are missing out on opportunities to both better prepare for healthcare costs and save for retirement. In fact, some Americans don’t even know HSAs exist, and many find HSAs -- and employee benefit choices in general -- to be confusing and complex.

However, consumer engagement and management tools from Chard Snyder make opening and contributing to an HSA easy and efficient.

“It’s our pleasure to participate in this year’s HSA Day,” said Chard Snyder President Barb Yearout. “With HSAs becoming an integral savings component for many of today’s savers, Chard Snyder has a responsibility to educate families on taking control of their health savings needs so they can make a solid plan for the future.”

Consumers, employers, brokers, and benefit administrators are encouraged to take part in the mission of National HSA Awareness Day to help drive awareness to the American public about the benefits of HSAs and how HSAs can help achieve financial wellness. To learn more and to register for a live-streamed discussion about HSAs, visit lovemyhsa.com.

Visit Chard Snyder’s National HSA Awareness Day event and education page at www.chard-snyder.com/hsaday.
