- 1/22: Did you know that you can read the weekly Internal Revenue Bulletin online? Only trouble: you need the Adobe Acrobat reader to view it online or to print them. (That reader is free from Adobe, but it's quite large and a bit cumbersome to load.) The Internal Revenue Bulletin is the place where the IRS publishes Revenue Rulings, Revenue Procedures, Announcements, Notices, and so forth. Does anybody know of a way to convert these to ASCII (text) format without scanning them?
- 1/22: Available online: the December 1996 issue of Reish &
Luftman's ERISA Controversy Report, including articles about the
importance of a written contract for services between a plan and its plan
administration consultant, and about removal of state court claims to
federal court.
- 1/21: Available online: the text of the model amendment drafted by IRS to convert a 401(k) plan into a "SIMPLE" 401(k) plan, from Revenue Procedure 97-9 (1997-2 IRB, 1/13/97)
- 1/20: What is the mandated correction for failing to obtain participant or spousal consent to a distribution subject to the joint and survivor annuity rules under the IRS Standardized VCR Procedure (SVP)? Find out in the Q&A for Plan Defects, from Reish & Luftman!
- 1/20: Persons in charge of investments for large funded benefit plans can monitor the latest investments news at the new Web site of P&I Daily, from Pensions & Investments magazine.
- 1/20: Bounty hunters wanted! BenefitsLink now pays for links! If you suggest a link to a site or
