  1. I meant to tell. For deferrals and PW eligibility requirement is just 21 years and entry date s immediate. participant A satisfied this and entered the plan and received PW. For PS the eligibility criteria is 21 years 1 year service and immediate. Participant A is a new entrant to the plan so he did not satisfy this eligibility criteria. Since he received PW and which is not equal to 5%. Plan fails gateway.
  2. Plan has dual eligibility. Few Employees with PW does not qualify for receiving PS contribution(Did not satisfy eligibility requirement for PS) hence the gateway fails How this needs to be handled? Note: PW not enough for 5%.
  3. If some one have all contribution calculation that can be done in a single template/Spreadsheet where you just input the formula based on plan and fill up comps & deferrals. Can you share it?

  5. Greetings all, I used to work as a retirement plan administrator in India for 6+ year. Completed Retirement plan fundamentals 1& 2. I moved to US before 4 years and recently got my work authorization to work in US. I started searching for jobs in different online portals. No reply or response for my application. can some one suggest how to approach for job in 401k field. Since I do not have any work experience in USA and I have 4 years break in service. Any leads or referrals will be appreciated. thanks in advance
  6. Greetings!!! I would like to clear few of my ambiguity regarding 401k administration jobs. Before starting I brief about my work experience, I have worked as outsourced associate for few of the leading TPAs for 6.5 years. Having hands-on expertise on compliance testing, valuation, trust accounting, Form 5500s etc. knowledge on distribution & loan. softwares handled: Relius, ASC, FTwilliams, Quicken, pension pro etc., completed RPF courses in 2016 My questions: 1. I on H4-EAD (work authorization for dependents of H1B visa holder). Will I be hired by TPAs in US. Will my visa be the problem for getting job as a 401k associate. 2. I have 4 years break in service. Since I worked for 6.5 years in same area I am still very much familiar with 401k. Does my break in service affect my job search. 3. If I pursue QKA courses. Will that help me for my job search? 4. If at all I find a job as 401k associate or administrator. What would be the average salary that I can negotiate for? Just would like to know your thoughts. Thanks in advance
