We use Sharefile but don't have it set up to require client passwords. Maybe that is something in the settings? The recipient only has to enter their first name and last name.

We had a client receive this notice for 2016 and 2017. 2016 had some distributions prior to it moving to a recordkeeping platform but they were all rollovers (so no federal withholding). We drafted a response for the client that the Form 945 was not required. The notices made no sense to us so glad to know our client was not the only one that received.
