Guest browniz1 Posted May 12, 2001 Posted May 12, 2001 I am relocating to South Carolina, and will be taking a leave of absence from My current employer the, State Of Maryland. How much will will my health care cost me under COBRA and for how long. Can I continue my life insurance and 401 plans as well?
Guest lmrice Posted May 14, 2001 Posted May 14, 2001 The cost of your COBRA cannot exceed 102% of your employer's group rate. You can continue your medical, dental, and vision insurance (only coverage you had when you terminated). You can take COBRA for a maximum of 18 months. Life insurance cannot be continued through COBRA. You should check with your HR department about converting your life insurance to a personal policy.
