thepensionmaven Posted July 19, 2001 Posted July 19, 2001 We have a client that set up a "cafeteria Plan" for 2000, which consists of premium coversion, med reimbursement and deendant care reimbursement. The only portion they have utilized so far is the premium only portion. I have only done 5500s for premium only plans, ie page 1 5500 and Schedule F. Would the filing requirements be the same?
Guest Dick Boever Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 I trust this answer is probably too late, but I will answer anyway. There is no difference in the filing for a POP and an FSA, the two filings appear identical. The Form 5500 for 2000 is actually three pages. Page 1 is mostly name and address, make sure you indicate if it is a first year filing in item B. You will normally have "SAME" in block 3a, indicating the Plan Administrator is the same as the plan sponsor and 8c will be checked. 10c is marked on page 3. For a 125 only filing the 5500 is signed on the employer line (second line).
