Guest CWilson Posted January 19, 2000 Posted January 19, 2000 My company currently covers well child benefits (immunizations, physicals, etc..) up to age 6. No other well child benfits are covered until age 18, when the plan begins to pay for 1 routine physical every 4 years. I am interested in knowing what other plans out there cover in this area. Any comments suggestions are welcome. ALso, please state where you are and what type of company you work for. Thanks!!!
Guest jreddi Posted January 21, 2000 Posted January 21, 2000 I work for a retailer HQd in the San Francisco Bay area, but with stores throughout the US and Canada and about 7,000 ees. We offer the same plan you do (Immunizations/well baby up to age 7). I had previously worked for a law firm in Washington, DC, with national presence and 600 ees, which offered well child care to 18. They are with different carriers however.
Guest taylorjeff Posted February 9, 2000 Posted February 9, 2000 I worked for BCBS of Ill. 18 years. Standardly they provided well-child care thru age 15 in all of their small group PPO plans. In large groups this coverage was standard, but could be modified by the employer. In the Ill. / Missouri market most insurors (PPOs) offer wellness benefits with no age limit, but usually a $ limit, i.e. $125 - $200 - $500.
