I have two issues I need some help with:

1) For those of you whose company has an employer match, do you mandate where that match be allocated (eg. company stock fund) or can the employee request that the match be invested in any of the Plan funds?

2) If your company's plan offers loans, do you charge an administrative fee when a loan is applied for and annually thereafter for as long as the loan is outstanding?

It depends on what the employer wants to do. Some employers want the employee to direct everything, others want to have Trustee directed employer contributions.

The plans that I see allow the individual participant to direct all of the monies placed into the plan on their behalf.

As far as loans are concerned there normally is an origination fee and then an year maintenance fee changed by the third-party administrtor.

I understand what you all are saying,

but what I am specifically looking for

is what your own particular company

does or your personal knowledge of what

other companies do. Currently we

mandate that the Company match goes

towards the purchase of stock and we pay

the administrative costs for loans. I

am trying to find out what is typical

at other companies. Thanks.

My company lets me direct all of my employer contributions. They are also kind enough not to charge me any maintenance fees for my loans.
