Guest cisabell Posted April 18, 2002 Posted April 18, 2002 Other than Hartford, Nationwide, Pacific Life, and VALIC, what are some other vendors out there that offer VAs with the 457 plan option? Also, who are the good ones? Any help at all is appreciated. THanks. Chris
Guest Tom Geer Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 Any VA, or pretty much any other investment, can be used in a 457. The problem is getting a plan document to set up or restate the plan.
Guest benji Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 Other major providers in that market are Citistreet and ICMA.
Guest cisabell Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 Is ICMA a product provider (VAs) or an administrator of 457 plans?
Guest benji Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 ICMA provides both product and admin. You can check them out on this link: http://www2.icmarc.org/xp/vl/
Guest Jami Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 Vanguard, Fidelity, & Schwab (soon if not now) offer 457 services; they all are typically less expensive than insurance companies.
Guest scottyd Posted June 14, 2002 Posted June 14, 2002 TIAA-CREF has a 457 plan offering as does Educators Money, a division of great west.
Guest bennie Posted September 1, 2002 Posted September 1, 2002 You can also check out (BenefitsCorp.com). They are a subsidiary of Great West Life and as far as I know presently administer 457 plans to over 15 different state workers. I think it would be worth your while to check them out.
