JanetM Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 I posted this also on DB board - Does anyone work with any companies that are required to report pension liabilities under the new UK accounting standard - FRS 17? I have received different interpretations as to what is to be disclosed in the footnotes for multi-employer plan withdrawal liabilities. If anyone has any information regarding this please let me know. JanetM CPA, MBA
david rigby Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 Don't know anything about it. If you are interested, you can find a synopsis of FRS 17 and its predecessor SSAP 24 here. http://www.asb.org.uk/technical/standards....ndards%20(FRSs) I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
JanetM Posted May 9, 2002 Author Posted May 9, 2002 Thanks Pax - I have the summary of it but was wondering if anyone else was dealing with this issue. There seems to be some different interpretations of what is required. Fishing for some feedback........... JanetM CPA, MBA
