Ron Snyder Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 We have taken over administration of a defined benefit plan for which the documents provide 411 actuarial equivalence using the 1983 Individual Annuity Mortality Female Table Projected to 2000 using Scale G. Does anyone have access to that table, preferably the Lx values? Is it available on the internet anywhere? It doesn't seem to be one of the SOA tables.
MGB Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Why not ask the prior administrator? The 83IAM is on the SOA table manager. Table 823 is labeled "basic", while 829 does not say that - I don't know what the difference is or which one your document is trying to use. Typically, pensions do not use the standard individual annuity tables because there are loads included for conservatism for insurance company reserving. The basic table usually does not include these loads. Scale G is also in the table manager, table 908. It is pretty easy to project in a spreadsheet.
Ron Snyder Posted May 20, 2002 Author Posted May 20, 2002 We have used the lx values from the SOA table manager but have not been able to duplicate the prior administrator's annuity rates.

Ron Snyder Posted May 20, 2002 Author Posted May 20, 2002 Thank you. We had already downloaded the table manager several months ago, but could not get the numbers to match.
david rigby Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 The SOA has redesigned their website. The new link for the Table Manager is http://www.soa.org/ccm/content/areas-of-pr.../table-manager/ I'm a retirement actuary. David MacLennan Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 My DATAIR software can output the q's for that table. I could email it to you.
