Guest pentex Posted May 24, 2002 Posted May 24, 2002 Anyone have stats on what percentage of U.S. employers offer domestic partner benefits? Is the trend still on the rise?
papogi Posted May 24, 2002 Posted May 24, 2002 I don't have any stats, but I can tell you that I work for a large TPA who has clients all over the country. We definitely are finding that more and more clients are adding benefits for domestic partners. Incidentally, I see that your location is NJ. We have more clients from NJ with domestic partner benefits than any other state.
Guest JulieJ Posted May 24, 2002 Posted May 24, 2002 Here are a few websites that might help you find what you are looking for: http://www.buddybuddy.com/d-p-1.html http://www.unmarried.org/statistics.html#benefits http://www.hrc.org/worknet/dp/index.asp http://www.hrc.org/worknet/dp/dp_facts.asp#4 http://www.singlesrights.com/dp-info.html http://eastbay.bizjournals.com/eastbay/sto...29/smallb3.html http://www.iglss.org/iglss/pubs/angles.html# (look at Vol. Five No.1 Nov. 2000) If you want more, go to www.google.com and type in for your search: domestic partner benefits statistics 2002
david rigby Posted May 24, 2002 Posted May 24, 2002 You might want to be cautious in using any statistics from the Human Rights Campaign. There is some track record of distortion. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
