chris Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 I know there's an ad section on Benefitslink regarding retirement plan administration services and I know the message boards are not for the purpose of advertising; however, I am looking for a retirement plan administration firm in NC and the only NC advertiser in the ad section has had its advertisement cancelled. Otherwise, I would not be posting this. I have a client with a plain vanilla profit sharing plan and a target benefit plan with some problems that are being cleaned up. Current TPA proposes to drop services within the next week. Again I apologize for the nature of the post. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.
JanetM Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Plansponsor.com has a section for surveys. They did one recently on TPA's. You could start there. JanetM CPA, MBA
Tom Poje Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 If you have a copy, the ASPA yearbook will list members by state
chris Posted June 21, 2002 Author Posted June 21, 2002 Tom, Would that or something comparable be available on-line? Thanks, Chris
R. Butler Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 You actually can do a job search by location here in Benefitslink. Make your location a city in North Carolina. If they are hiring an administrator, they do administration.
Guest FREE401k Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 A previous business associate of mine moved to North Carolina to work for W.E. Stanley (in Greensboro? or Greenville?). I don't know anything about them except they are owned by BB&T and they do 401(k) recordkeeping. I have no idea if they are good, bad or indifferent but they are in North Carolina.
Guest benji Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Try this link. Scroll down on the left hand side and there is a National TPA directory: http://www.tagdata.com
Guest benji Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 There is another directory on http://www.401kwire.com/ although you have to be a member. Hope you get what you are looking for!
