Guest DCConsultant Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 I have been asked by one of my clients to design a 401(k) style plan for their division in Canada. Does anybody know about Canadian Pension Law and what can be done to assist my client in attaining their goal?
david rigby Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 You can probably find lots of references to Canadian benefits using the search feature on the main BenefitsLink page. That could serve as a useful introduction, but the best advice would be to hire someone who actually has experience with this. All of the major consulting firms, and some of the slightly smaller firms, have offices/affiliates in Canada. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
