Archimage Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 I am running the 401(a)4 test in Quantech and it includes the 401(k) and match in the cross-testing for the HCEs. How do I get it to stop doing that?
Tom Poje Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 for purposes of the average benefits % test you must include deferral and match - so the system is doing things correctly. for purposes of nondiscrim under 401(a)(4) the system only uses profit sharing - and these E Bars are used for rate group testing (I think somewhere under this board I attached a word file describing Qtech and nondiscrimination module)
Archimage Posted November 1, 2002 Author Posted November 1, 2002 I realize that but it is using the total annual addition amount in regards to the rate group testing.
Tom Poje Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 it hadn't been doing that last I checked, though I am still at 6.0, so I can't comment if you are at 7.0. I usually print the nondiscrim test for a(4) and look at the E Bars to see what is going on.
rcline46 Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 Silly question - are the SOURCES clearly set up as relius wants them as ee-pretax and er pretax match? Incorrect sources will mess you up.
Archimage Posted November 4, 2002 Author Posted November 4, 2002 Thanks for the help, guys. I figured out what I did wrong. I had early uploaded a contribution and reversed it. Well, the data was still in the census data/compensation entry screen. Once I corrected that, everything was fine.
