Guest Darla K Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 We have a client who just recently got married. She is wondering if her new spouse's expense that was incurred 2 weeks prior to the marriage is eligible for reimbursement. Can she claim the expenses or not, since they were not married at the time of the procedure?
papogi Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 No, definitely nothing before the wedding. In this case, expenses incurred after the wedding date and after the date the employee signed the change in election form could be reimbursed. Notice that it doesn't necessarily go back to the wedding date. It goes back to the date the employee signed the change form.
Guest Darla K Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Thank you papogi! That is what I thought.
