Guest Peg H Posted August 8, 1998 Posted August 8, 1998 Here goes a test of the misc. benefits section! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I'm working with a client to evaluate the possibility of instituting a PTO plan in lieu of a traditional time off plan with vacation, sick, etc. In researching comparative data on this subject, it appears that many of the Silicon Valley companies perhaps do not include sick leave as part of a formal PTO program, but handle one-at-a-time sick days informally without tracking. Has anyone heard of this? Comments on successful implementation of a PTO plan? Thanks...
Guest ERead Posted August 19, 1998 Posted August 19, 1998 Just a check to see if were still operational here or not.
Guest mfurnstahl Posted August 31, 1998 Posted August 31, 1998 I will be conducting a survey to any organization that currently utilizes a PTO program. I am looking for the name and address of people to contact for this survey. I work for a health system that recently went through a merger. We are going to merge our PTO/vacation/sick and personal days policy. Anyone who would be willing to complete this survey, please e-mail me your address. Thank you.
Guest Margaret Posted September 11, 1998 Posted September 11, 1998 We have a PTO program that allows employees to acculmate a certain number of hours per month that they use for vacation, sick and holidays. The amounts vary based on position and length of service. They can have up to 2x their annual accrual intheir bank at any given time. We also offer cash-in programs that employees must elect for on an annual basis.
Guest Christina F Posted July 7, 1999 Posted July 7, 1999 I am with an investment advisory company. I would like to get some ideas from anyone else in an investment company on Paid Time Off plans. Please contact me if you have information regarding that topic. Thank you. [This message has been edited by Christina F (edited 07-07-99).]
Guest Debbie Griffith Posted February 24, 2000 Posted February 24, 2000 I work with a major corporation and am beginning my research on PTO (integration of holiday, vacation, sick pay) and would greatly appreciate any information relating to PTO surveys conducted on other large corporations. I am particularly interested in those that have implemented PTO, their results, pro's and con's and lessons learned. Thanks. ------------------
Guest jreddi Posted February 24, 2000 Posted February 24, 2000 We implemented a FTO (Flex Time Off) program in Jan 00 and have been quite successful. A few employees (out of the 5000 eligibles) balked at the presumed loss of accumulated sick time, but we weathered through it. If you want more information about our plan, you can email me at: john_redding@gymmail.com. I would be happy to share the plan design with you.
