Guest JF Posted July 11, 1999 Posted July 11, 1999 Does anyone know if you can print reports in Quantech and sort by Division ? I set up 5 divisions in the employer screen, then gave each employee a division code in the census. I want to print a report of contributions and eligibility by division. Any hints ? As a follow up to this question, when using the data collection routine to input 401(k) contributions, can I have the input come up by Division ? Any help appreciated -- JF
Tom Poje Posted July 12, 1999 Posted July 12, 1999 If you are talking about Report Writer reports (Crystal reports) you can do anything you want. printing by division is one of the easier taks. Hey, this comes from an idiot at crystal, but someone who tinkers with the Quantech reports. anyway, select "Reporting" from the tool bar, select "Report Writer". "File" "Open" select the report you want, e.g. "Cnsverr" on the left side of this report you should see the words 'Page Header' scroll down to the next solid black line. Keeping your cursor in the area under the words 'Page header' watch the bottom right corner of the crystal report (it should say Page header). When you just pass the solid black line, the bottom corner will say 'Group header #1 - RPTEE SORTNAM (if you go to far it will say "group header #2 - ..or something else" make sure it says Group header #1. click on the Right mouse and from the menu select 'change group' you can now change your sort to 'division'. you will probably want to change group header #2 to sort by name afterwards. hopefully I haven't left anything out. you will probably want to save as another report when finished. this will require you to print under custom reports, but that shouldn't be a problem. good luck! if you get stuck, ask! If you are in Southern Users Group, and can make the meeting in Aug, thats one of the tips I hope to cover.
Spencer Posted July 13, 1999 Posted July 13, 1999 We print the Contribution Analysis and Census Data Verification by division without using Custom Reports. For the Contribution Analysis, click on Report Style, change the Font Size to 8, then click on "Contribution Analysis, sorted by division" under Report Contents. Click Assign and Close, then Print. For the Census Data Verification, click on Report Style, change the Report Type to Totals Only, then change the Font Size to 8, then click on "Totals Only, sorted by division" under Report Contents. Click Assign and Close, then Print. Hope this helps. p.s. We also print our Summary of Participant Accounts report by division, but we do use a Custom Report for that. If you would like a copy of it, just email me. I will be happy to email the report to you. ------------------
Guest JF Posted July 17, 1999 Posted July 17, 1999 Thanks Tom and Spencer. I'm a bit newer to Quantech so your tips will help. I do have Crystal with Qt but haven't done much with it yet as far as custom design. If you have a custom report, and could e-mail it to me, it would be much appreciated. Also, let me know when that Aug meeting is, I will probably come. Thanks jf@execbenefits.com
