Guest JBS Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 If an individual has three traditional IRAs with different custodians, is it possible to aggregate the values for the purpose of establishing substantially equal periodic payments? Can the individual then withdraw the required funds on a monthly basis from only two of the three IRAs as long as they meet the computed amount on an annualized basis?
jevd Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 It is my understanding that you may aggregate your IRA balances for determining your series of payments but be careful, once aggregated, you may not add funds or withdraw funds other than your calculated payout without creating a break in the payments and being subjected to penalties. There is an informative site dedicated to these type of payments at www.72t.net JEVD Making the complex understandable.
