Datair Question

I'm a new Datair user and I've just completed my first conversion....well, almost. I have an issue I've been unable to resolve. My PVB, NC, CL all look fine. However, the PVAB on my "Schedule of Benefits/Current" screen (actuarial equivalence basis) is $0 for all deferred vesteds (status "D"). I checked the help function and the manual and I've gone to screens 30 and 31 and input the "prior year vesting percentage" and "prior year accrued benefit", but it didn't help. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I would check to make sure your "Prior Year Vested Percent" on Screen 30 and the "Prior Year Accrued Benefit" on Screen 31 are filled in.

Have you tried DATAIR help? They also have a message board on their web site.

The 2 items on Screens 30 and 31 are filled in. I haven't posted on the Datair forums yet. Was hoping to get lucky here.

Anybody else have any ideas?

For status code "D" participants, do the Accrued Benefit and the Vesting % show up correctly on the Schedule of Benefits but the PVAB is $0, or are all the entries $0?

Accrued benefits and vesting % are correct, but the PVAB is $0.

I could not duplicate the problem. I was thinking that if the AB and V% are showing up on the Schedule, then the problem may be in how you have coded the Plan Level screens rather than the Employee Level screens. If it was me, I would call Datair and ask for tech support on the DB system. They are very helpful. Good luck.

I've found the problem - by not coding any pay into the comp screens (tv), the benefits for actuarial equivalence only are being limited to $0 based on the F3 415 limit. As soon as I put in one bogus pay, it worked...

That's weird because I didn't have any pay entered either. Oh well, as long as it's working for you now.
