Guest JD698 Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 If a plan is self insured but being administered by a health insurance company, who would be the claim fiduciary, the plan sponsor or the insurance company? What would be the responsibilities of a claim fiduciary?
mbozek Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Who is designated as the final authority for deciding claims under the administration agreement between the parties? mjb
Guest JD698 Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 The Trustees (plan sponsors) have the final authority Do I correctly assume that the plan sponsor would be the claim fiduciary?
