Guest rx8 Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 does anyone know an ira "trustee" who will accomodate restricted stock? most brokerages, perhaps all, will only hold stock that is a "member" of the depositoy trust corp. would appreciate help. does the irs have a list of rgistered trusties? thanks
ljr Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 Try your local banks' trust departments. Be prepared, it's not a free service if you can find a bank trust department that will do it.

There are some that will allow the IRA to invest in restricted and non-publicly traded stocks, provided the requirements under IRC 4975 are met.
