Lorraine Dorsa Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 While it's fun to communicate online, it's also nice to actually meet people face to face [at least once in a while ]. Since many of us will be at the Enrolled Actuaries Meeting, let's plan to meet at the bar in the hotel lobby on Monday afternoon right after the end of the sessions. No need to RSVP, just show up!
david rigby Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 How will we recognize each other? Oh, we're the geeks! I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
Lame Duck Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 I always thought the definition of an actuary was an accountant with personality.
Guest Roman Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Just wear your favorite bow tie and thick glasses.
Effen Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Sounds good. Since you are one of the few who use their real name, I guess we'll just look for you. AndyH Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 All right. I've gotta ask. Is Effen your real name or not?
Effen Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 What do you "effen" think! AndyH Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 Now I feel much better. Just felt the need to get that one out of the way.
Effen Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 When we were younger, we dreamed up many "creative" ways to have junk mail sent to our friends. Obviously this was before SPAM and before we were old enough to get so much of our own junk mail. The "effen" was usually followed by a "richard" and then an address. I always liked the "effen" part, but have since dropped the "richard" See you in DC?
