Guest Anf1998 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Can the Colorado PERA Board disburse survivor benefits to an ex-spouse pursuant to the PERA state statute without any consideration of the Colorado probate statute that revokes the designation of an ex-spouse as a beneficiary upon divorce?
SoCalActuary Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Was a DRO sent to the Colorado PER administrator?
mbozek Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Need to check the PERA statute to see if it is subject to other state laws. Some public retiree plans are required to pay benefits to beneficaries designated by participants without regard to other state laws. mjb
