Guest Nautical Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I tried to remove this topic but did not have any luck. I found out Social Security will provide death information at 1-800-772-1213 (Company Tax ID requried). Now I know what state or county to request death certificates.
david rigby Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Absolutely. www.benefitslink.com Seriously, there have been several discusison threads on this topic. Some will have specific referrals. Try the Search feature (upper right on your screen), using a keyword such as "missing" or "lost". I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
Lori Friedman Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 After the day that I've just had, I'm really uncertain whether or not I'm still alive. Can I use www.rootsweb.com to find out? Lori Friedman
Guest dsyrett Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 In response to the original question, I have had success locating them in the local cemetery.
