Guest LSULLIVAN Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Can anyone confirm whether or not rollovers and/or direct transfers are allowed from a 457 tax exempt to a 401k or any other qualified plan? Or if a transfer to another 457 is only permitted? Thank you
Guest LSULLIVAN Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Notice 2002-3 refers to governmental 457b. I am asking about a tax exempt 457b
WDIK Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Sorry. It is my understanding that the EGTRRA rollover rules do not cover 457(b) plans of nongovernmental tax-exempt employers. ...but then again, What Do I Know?
QDROphile Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 See 457(e) (16) and 402(f)(2)(A). Only government plan distributions are eligible for roll over.
