Guest Ira Hayes Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Is there such a mandate for chiropractic services? If so, what is the enabling legislation (a statutory citation would be appreciated)?
leevena Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Seems like you are asking if there is a federal requirement about chiropractic coverage in health plans? Is this correct? Insured plans are regulated at the state level, so I would check your specific state about their requirements. Also, a quick and easier way is to look at the coverages available through the health plans in your state, such as Blue's, Aetna, etc., becasue they are regulated by the states. The chance that they are marketing a plan that would violate these laws is very slim. Good luck.
oriecat Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 If there's a national mandate for chiro, it's sure news to me and my plans that don't offer any... Sounds to me like one of those employees who likes to say "but the law says you have to!"... but they can never actually show you the law they mean...
