Guest puddle Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 If my plan document has me eligible for my pension at 10 years credit service, what good does it have me vesting at 10 continuous years under my welfare plan
Guest b2kates Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Please clarify your question, welfare plans do not have vesting while actively employed, it may for retiree benefits.
david rigby Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 ... and there is no requirement that plans "co-ordinate" eligbility provisions. (Perhaps it was not a question after all, but just venting? If so, perhaps you may wish to direct your comments to your employer.) I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
