Guest kstar Posted March 7, 1999 Posted March 7, 1999 The Roth IRA final regulations appear to limit Roth IRA reconversions after 1999 to individuals who failed to meet the AGI limit for conversions. Is this an accurate reading?
Guest DAVETAX Posted March 11, 1999 Posted March 11, 1999 I refer you to Barry C. Picker's article of 2/4/99 at the ROTHIRA.COM web site, and Greg Reymann's article of 3/10/99 Section VIII 2nd paragraph recharacterizing to reduce taxes (after 1999). You can recharacterize after 1999 to save taxes, but you can't reconvert until the beginning of the next tax year. ------------------ DAVID SNYDER, CPA [This message has been edited by DAVETAX (edited 03-12-99).]
