Guest lskin Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 When determining if a church can provide employer contribuitons to non-ERISA 403(b)s it states first to check state and local statute. Does anyone know of a way an employer can find this information?
Guest lskin Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Just checking if anyone can assist me with this?
Guest lskin Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 The NTSAA primer plus book mentions this as a step to take before allowing employer contribuitons to a non-ERISA 403(b)
Guest mjb Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Why would a state or local law govern a church's right to contribute to a 403b annuity plan? Under the IRC/regs any employer that is a 501©(3) can contribute to a 403b annuity plan for its employees. Why would a state law prohibit a church form contributing to a retirement plan for its employees?
