Guest bobg Posted April 6, 1999 Posted April 6, 1999 Regarding withdrawals from the Roth IRA for education, is there a repayment stipulation in the tax code?
Kathy Posted April 6, 1999 Posted April 6, 1999 Nope distributions which meet the definition of qualified education expenses are not subject to penalties. But, they're not in your IRA to grow on a tax deferred basis anymore either and they can't be put back (unless rolled back within 60 days of the distribution).
