Below Ground Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Does anyone know where a small defined benefit plan can get an IAS 90 service? I understand this is like a FASB, but has an international scope. Unfortunately, I don't know anything more about it so any help would be appreciated. Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Should I really be riding in such cold? Why are my goggles covered with a thin layer of ice? Will this effect coverage testing? QPA, QKA
david rigby Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Possibly you mean International Accounting Standard No. 19 (IAS 19)? Call your local actuary, to see if he/she is qualified or can give you a reference. BTW, review of this is "on the table" http://www.iasb.org/Current+Projects/IASB+...pensions%29.htm I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
