I find that I am in need of the annual compensation limit and DB maximum annual benefit in effect for 1991 (how strange is that?)

As it happens I have the benefit limits from 1975 - 1989 (except 1987) and both from 1996 through today, but I was doing other things in the early 90s and didn't keep my list up to date.

Are there any other old timers around with those old numbers buried in some old file somewhere?

I have a chart that shows the 415 DB limit for 1991 as 108,963 and the 401(a)(17) comp limit as $222,220. Not handling DB plans myself, I'm not sure if those are the numbers you're looking for but thought I'd give it a shot.

I agree. BTW, DC limit in 1991 = $30,000.

Wow crazy. I came to the board to see if anyone knew what the limits were for 1986. I have a client that terminated a DB plan in '86 and is thinking of adopting another one. I doubt I will be able to find paperwork on the distribution from that long ago so assuming they funded the max seems most appropriate.

So anyone know?

DC 415 limit in 1986 = 30,000

BTW, look at Table 7 here:
