Guest d wade Posted October 8, 1999 Posted October 8, 1999 WSJ article of 10/06/99 indicated IRS would permit owners to amend forms to correct problem. Would welcome any comments as to wording and avoiding other problems in the forms.
BPickerCPA Posted October 10, 1999 Posted October 10, 1999 The IRS form 5305 has a line on it that states that if the beneficiary is the spouse, that spouse automatically rolls the roth into his or her own roth. All you need to do is cross out that line. IF the brokerage account application does not use form 5305 but has a similar line, cross out that line.
