Andy the Actuary Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Can anyone advise where I can find in Excel format all of the mortality tables stipulated in IRS Notice 2008-85? mwyatt Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 You know, I talked to an IRS rep at the EA meeting last spring about them doing that very thing. Our vendor sent out the files last week; will see if I can put them up here in Excel format (my eyes are long gone for entering all of that stuff by hand).

Okay, a little cutting/pasting from the pdf of Notice 2008-85, and filtering through some string functions, etc., etc., and so forth -- but no data entry -- produced the attached. Please (anyone) who has the time, randomly check some values. It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Andy t. a. Here's what I'm getting for APRs at age 18, SLA with 5% interest: Male combined funding table for 2009: 232.782 Female combined funding table for 2009: 234.376 Unisex (417e) table for 2009: 233.548 Can anyone confirm? Thx. ... s

I never noticed because I am actuarially unpure and always round factors to two decimals, so we get same answers. Nevertheless, I'll see what I can do about fixing soon as I can locate my round tuit. Andy the Actuary Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Thank you ScottR for your eagle-eye. The table has been reposted and now includes the elusive 6th decimal for rates at ages 100 and over.
