Guest BruceC Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Hello Wondering if someone might have an update on this. Last April, the ASPPA announced proposed regulations for a 7 day safe harbor for employee salary deferrals beyond the normal wage payment date, for the deferral to be posted to the employee's account. This proposal would only affect employers with fewer than 100 EE plan participants. Did the DOL ever publish a final reg on this? I can't seem to find anything on it. I've found a number of web sites outling the proposal, but can't find anything final Thanks BruceM
GMK Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 There was this thread in June: http://benefitslink.com/boards/index.php?s...timing+deferral Don't know of anything since. Someone else might.
four01kman Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Just to clarify, the deposit must be made into the Plan's account, not necessarily the employee's account. Jim Geld
