ASPPA's ASAP says that minimums for 2009 for qualified plans would be waived under the pending legislation. Reading the technical summary from Congress seems to limit this to DC plans. Is the ASPPA ASAP wrong (call it incomplete or misleading if you wish), or did I miss something about DB minimums?

It doesn't apply to DB plans. Only:

DC plans that are described in 401(a), 403(a), 403(b), and state/local 457(b)

and

IRAs

The bill states that ...

"Under the provision, no minimum distribution is required for calendar year 2009 from

individual retirement plans and employer-provided qualified retirement plans that are defined

contribution plans (within the meaning of section 414(i))."
