Guest Peggy806 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 May I use any mortality table for cross testing, even if I use SSRA in the test?
david rigby Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 You can find the IRS list of "standard mortality tables" in Regulation 1.401(a)(4)-12. http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-...26/26tab_02.tpl The IRS has updated it from time to time; perhaps someone else can find a link to updates. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
AndyH Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 BTW, I don't think it is clear that you can use SSRA in the test.
Tom Poje Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 good point, check your document. I know the new Corbel documents contain such language, (otherwise you would have to use the plan's normal retirement age) even if you use SSRA as testing another issue is to whether you would also have to do a BRF on age 65, 66 and 67 which would most likely fail.
