Is there a publicly available online source for 2008 Plan AFTAPs ? If so please provide the link.

You're not going to see any AFTAPs until plans start filing 2008 Schedule SBs. Given what I've seen from the EA Meeting so far, doubt anyone will be filing those anytime soon until they can figure out exactly how to complete the Schedule SB.

My underestanding is that per IRS 436 all plans had to file their 2008 AFTAP (to the IRS) by 10/01/08 at the latest. This 2008 AFTAP also goes on the 2008 year 5500 Sch SB filing generally filed in the 3-rd quarter of 2009. I'm assuming that is what you are referring to above.

However, are the 2008 AFTAPs filed in the earlier IRS 436 filing available publically now?

Your understanding is wrong. Read what mwyatt wrote.

You might be thinking of the funded status for multiemployer plans (Endangered, Seriously Endangered, and Critical). Those had to be filed with DOL and they are public on the DOL web site.

AFTAPs did not have to be filed with IRS, although as myatt stated, they will eventually become public once the Sch. SB are released into public domain.
