Below Ground Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Plan deposited deferrals late and wishes to correct by providing interest and filing Form 5330. A "VFCP Filing" is not desired. I understand there is also a notice that needs to be distributed to members discussing the late deferrals and related correction. Is there available any guidance on the content of that notice? Thanks. Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Should I really be riding in such cold? Why are my goggles covered with a thin layer of ice? Will this effect coverage testing? QPA, QKA
Below Ground Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 Jim, I am having a hard time finding it. For example, I read through the entire amendment for the PT Exemption and no luck. Do you have a link that you could provide? Thanks, I always appreciate your postings. Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Bill Presson Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 No takers on this? I believe the notice is only required if you are filing under the VFCP program and are seeking relief from the excise tax. If you are self correcting and paying the excise tax, then the notice is not required. William C. Presson, ERPA, QPA, QKA bill.presson@gmail.com C 205.994.4070
Below Ground Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 Thanks Bill. I came across this while looking up something else. Guess I didn't "track" this topic. Anyway, thanks!
