BG5150 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Some threads have a blue folder on the left and some have a red one. The legend says that the red ones are "Hot Topics." What makes a topic "hot"? I thought it was views and/or responses, but I saw a red one with 9 responses and 129 views, but a thread with a blue folder had 7 responses and 152 views. QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
MWeddell Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I'd guess that it is 9 replies (plus the original post for a total of 10 posts) that switches the status to a red "hot topic" icon.
BG5150 Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 So the magic number is 10 posts to make something "hot"? QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.

GMK Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 So the magic number is 10 ... to make something "hot"? Someone here said that this the "Bo Derek" rule. Maybe? I'm just posting to help get to 10 posts.
Guest L337pwner5 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Maybe someone should mention some celebrity gossip to increase the number of responses. For instance, did anyone hear the rumor that Tiger Woods has had affairs with no fewer than 4 members of the DOL's ERISA Advisory Counsel?
XTitan Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I thought this was a message board to discuss COBRA, not Tiger. Different animal from a different gene pool. That's one more. - There are two types of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data sets...

Below Ground Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Did it work? Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Should I really be riding in such cold? Why are my goggles covered with a thin layer of ice? Will this effect coverage testing? QPA, QKA
Guest L337pwner5 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Man oh man, this is one hot topic!
BG5150 Posted December 18, 2009 Author Posted December 18, 2009 Yes. As Bo Derek was in "10," so now is this topic: hot. QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
GMK Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Man oh man, this is one hot topic! ... so that's is why VEBAPLAN keeps posting to himself. Verrrry interesting.
