Below Ground Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 We are told that EFAST2 eliminated the SSA with the 5500, BUT the SSA must still be file if conditions are "right". Everywhere I look the instructions direct you to the IRS website for details. I find nothing. I can't even find where the form should be mailed. Since I have an amended 2007 Form to file, this issue has come front and center Am I looking in the wrong place, or is dementia finally setting in? Any direction would be appreciated! Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Should I really be riding in such cold? Why are my goggles covered with a thin layer of ice? Will this effect coverage testing? QPA, QKA
BG5150 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Maybe call the IRS? QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.

WDIK Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/article/0,,id=169726,00.html Refer to Form 8955-SSA. ...but then again, What Do I Know?
Below Ground Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 WDIK - So "status" is pending and I should just sit tight? BG5150 - Hold hell? Please not that! Mr. Rigby - I suspect that is up to the reader. Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Should I really be riding in such cold? Why are my goggles covered with a thin layer of ice? Will this effect coverage testing? QPA, QKA
Jim Chad Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 In addition, ASPPA GAC has learned that Schedule SSA filings for delinquent returns should not be sent with the return, but instead should be sent to: Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service Center Ogden, UT 84201‐0027 Only the Schedule SSA should be sent to this address. Do not send any other filings to this address This is from the ASPPA newsletter today.
Below Ground Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Thanks Jim. I got that today too! Having braved the blizzard, I take a moment to contemplate the meaning of life. Should I really be riding in such cold? Why are my goggles covered with a thin layer of ice? Will this effect coverage testing? QPA, QKA
