I don't do movies, but maybe someone out there can identify all these movie scenes with explosions in them.

ok, don't post answers, just comments as to which ones you have solved.

give other people a chance to be frustrated

I got 2, 4, 19 and 21. Not too good. Thanks Tom for ruing my weekend.....

I was even worse--they all look the same to me!!--except that I did show my age by recognizing the earliest movie among them, i.e. #3.

I finally got #3 as well. You're right about it being old. Now I have this silly whistling tune running around in my head......

You mean "Whistle While You Work", right? (Per Tom, we don't want to give it away . . .)

that's the only one I knew. my brother indicated he solved 6 of the 21

I do not have the answer sheet so don't ask me. I figure pensions ruin my week, might as well ruin someone's weekend as well.

based on comments (my brother told me which ones he solved) the following have not been solved

1,5,6,8,9,10,12,16,17,20,21

(I can't tell you the answer because I don't know them)

Thanks, Tom.

2 and 3, so far ... and maybe forever.

I'll look again this weekend when I have access to family members who know movies.

Hi Ho. Hi Ho. It's off to .... (hey! that's not whistled.)

Ok. I'm pretty sure I know 3,4,8,10,13,18,20 & 21 (20 & 21 are educated guesses)

You're right, GMK! # 1 is almost as old as #3!

possible hints

5 was a remake of a Charleton Heston movie

8 was one of a series of movies involving a particular fictional character, lets say 1930's - 1940's

9 was a remake of an old TV show.

Hey! I thought no hints (like they'd help me).

Well, I won't push the [!Report] button this time, but watch it.

Well, it's Friday and I'm curious to see what everyone got here I could only figure out four of them. (Assuming they're right)

2 - Independance Day

4- True Lies

10 - Goodfellas

13 - Jaws

Edited to add that I just realized you can actually type in the names in the spreadsheet to see if you're right. Duh.

4 & 13 listed above. I think I'm right on these.

3 Bridge over the River Kwai

8 Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones)

10 The Untouchables

12 i was wrong on this one

18 Ghostbusters

20 i was wrong on this one

21 Speed

#1 is North by Northwest.

10 was The Untouchables

all other responses were correct.

5 was a remake of Charlton Heston movie, and they actually had 4 other movies based on the original, the Heston was only in the first 2.

if that ain't enough of a hint...

Has it been a week already? I haven't even started.

I was gonna go ape over this, but I guess I didn't plan et very well, did I. ;)

Mr. Presson: Who directed i was wrong on this one? I can't remember. and why did it have 2 explosions?

Maybe I can get a round to it this week-end. It is a fun quiz. :)

HA!

I put what I originally thought it was and since I had previously claimed to know the answer, I didn't want to edit out that I had actually provided a wrong answer.

I'll keep trying though!

TPA Bob:

this turns out to be a stupid quiz I created years ago. my brother 'found' it on his computer. he had put it in a folder years ago - 'things to eventually do' or something like that.

Ha. I am working on putting together a nasty one inviolving 'invisibles'. this time of year I need insanity breaks from ADP testing.
