Leopurrd Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Hi everyone! For those relius webclient users trying to submit EFAST2 filings.....has anyone had issues publishing multiple years for one client? I have updated the filing year in the plan info sheet but when I try to publish the 2nd year it just overrides the first year I published. (For example, if we have a 2009 filing and a final 2010 filing....the 2010 filing overwrites the 2009 filing). I was hoping someone had a tip on how to get this to work or knew that there was a glitch in the system? Thanks! Vicki
Bill Presson Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I don't know the answer, but I'm checking to see if I can get something for you. William C. Presson, ERPA, QPA, QKA bill.presson@gmail.com C 205.994.4070
Leopurrd Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Thanks Bill! I appreciate the help. Just to mention - we have not yet installed SP3...not sure if that is the difference or not? Have a great weekend!!
Bill Presson Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 No answers from other users (at least not yet). Make sure to post this as an incident with Relius. Worst case scenario is that I will be attending the Relius Summit on the 6th-8th (including the national daily user group) and I'm quite certain there will be plenty of discussions about this. K2retire Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 We've had the same problem and been told to wait. We had hoped to publish the final 2010s for terminated plans along with the 2009s.
Guest Sara H Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 In the Plan Information Worksheet, under the Plan Information section, there is a field next to the business code for "Filing for Plan Year". You will need to fill this in for each of the years you are filing for since you will be creating multiple filings using the same form set (i.e. 2009 forms for a 2008, 2007, etc filing). This will keep it from over-writing.
K2retire Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 That does not cure the problem of not being able to publish more than one form.
Bill Presson Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Same question was just asked on Tom's webinar today. Unfortunately, he didn't really appear to understand the question, so there still is no answer. I'm going to be asking about this at the Summit next week. William C. Guest Sara H Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Have you completed a separate plan information worksheet for each year that you are filing a 5500 for? I have one client where I had to file amended returns back to 2001, so they show up 9 times on my list of plans, but each one has a different plan year and are saved under different file names.
commishvp Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 We have submitted the 2010 filing under a seperate log in accout with Web Client and that has seemed to work. Try having one of your co-workers upload the second filing.
Leopurrd Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Thanks for all the tips! Yes, we tried having a different user publish but that didn't seem to work either. We attended Tom's webinar on 6/9 and he thought it was because we didn't have SP3. The update was just installed but i have yet to test that theory. Please let me know if you come across any updates on this issue!!
Guest AHS527 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 I completed 2 filings for the same client using the 2009 forms. One was for the 2009 Plan Year and the other was for 2007. If you put the correct plan year in the plan info worksheet and publish to web client the filings will show up separately when the plan sponsor logs into the system.
